Had my 1980 Range Rover back today after almost 2 months off the road, sorry I just wanted to tell someone:D

New to me SU carbs and a new to me distributor and coil, a little work for her M.O.T and I hope she'll last me a few more years.

Oh the joys indeed I soldmy Disco and bought a Rover 75 so my Rangie is like a breath of fresh air and has been for the last 5 years.

I've had the 75 2 weeks nice car and a nice fast cruiser and I'd wanted one for a long time (estate) but it is not what I want I'll probably trade it in against another Discovery as they are not badly priced these days.
Off to bed now thanks Disco V8.

Andy.

Is it a V6? If so, sell it... same engine they used in the Freelander V6 and prone to all the same problems - sorry ;)

Thanks for the info on the V6 I was not aware of the engine in two different vehicles.
I now know to steer clear, mine has the BMW unit.
