Just a quick hello,
Always and I mean always wanted a Defender,
recently retired so gave myself a present,
bought a TD5 2001 reg earlier this year, 51000 miles and mint. I really wanted a 300tdi after all the positive write ups but this came along. Very basic, wolf wheels, hardtop, no radio etc.
Problem was it was a wreck, the reason it had only done 50k it seems is that it was sat on an airfield in the Falklands for most of its life and thrashed for the rest of it.
Seller was great and gave me my money back after failing to fix a major engine problem. On the forecourt that same day was an Epsom Green 300tdi 90 with 85k on. Great chassis and in generally good nick.
Its now mine and I'm loving it.
Starting spending now so probably be posting daft questions for your ridicule, be gentle
