Anyone actually tried to use the guarantee yet? Mine blew out - i've tried replacing the collet but i can't seem to get a seal. Just been to the local indy and bought a new spring (just the standard one) and it still won't lift. thinking i'll take it back and try get a new spring on warranty

anyone tried? is it actually a lifetime warranty, or do they try get out of it? The fact i was on to the supplier last week and they never mentioned a warranty makes me wonder if they will replace it...

regardless of the spring, why won't it pump up. its doing my head in

i think i can hear a hiss of air leaking, but maybe i'm just hearing things. How long should it take for the whole system to pressurise and lift??
 
What does your receipt say? Just because some American web-site says guaranteed for life don`t mean a lot methinks. Good luck tho!

Bull**t, guaranteed for life says it all.

Used it something like 10 times for over 250 sets of 4 airsprings sold and it works.

They'll ask you a photo of defective item and maybe the recept and you'll receive a brand new airspring.
 
I had to replace one of mine under the warranty (although it was only 2 weeks old).

A single photo showing the damage was all that was required and they sent a new repalcement (although to be fair the supplier actually handled it).

thanks guys. going to phone the supplier shortly. still baffles me as to where the air is getting out (if it is and i'm not imagining it!)

where do the air lines go above the rear left spring? i think i can hear air, but only when the engine is running and then i can't pin point it cause the damn thing is so noisy. doesn't help that the exhaust is blowing out. thinking it could have damaged something?
 
I've tried to use the Arnott guarantee. They were sent back a month ago and they're still thinking about it . . .

The connection to the spring is a bit of a bugger to get to - you need to look between the chassis and the body - you may have to push the arch liner out of the way a bit to see them.

The pipe runs along the top of the chassis rail as I recall.

If you have the EAS Unlock sw then you can operate the air suspension without the engine running - might help to hear the hiss.

Two years after fitting them, one of my Arnott Gen II's developed a leak in the plastic base/crimp joint. P38 Spares were very helpful. It took a little while, some photo's and discussion but Arnott honoured the warrenty and I got a new replacement for the cost of postage.
 
i have also had a leak on one of my gen II an just sent a photo to p38 spares an got a new one 4 day's later . and i live in denmark
 
So, been talking to p38 spares this afternoon and yes, send in a photo and they'll replace the spring. good news. also just bought an EAS cable off off the ebay...

get working at it later this week and sort it out...
 
Original Dunlops last 15 years max on the P38... But replacement Dunlops do not last long. Many of my customers swapped from Dunlop to Arnott because of 2 years old only porous airsprings...

I reckon you waould have to be lucky to get 15 years out of a Dunlop airspring, cars only came out in 95 and all the originals I've seen should have been replaced a long time ago:)
 
I recently supplied airsprings for a 1993 lse that stilk had original dunlops. That makes 18 years ;)...Who said air suspension is prone to failure?
 
Confusing,,, when is a Dunlop original different to a replacement dunlop then? Both should be identical then, no?

No, time passes, production methods and materials change, might still have Dunlop imprinted on the airbag but probably made in China now:(
