Hi, Bought a 97 R reg Argyll yesterday - joined here today - so new to this. Anyone know answer to this as I dont know what extras are on this and not on other "lesser" models.

Argyll was a limited addition. 600 were made from June 1997 based on the S model but with dished alloy wheels in either Oxford Blue or Woodcote Green colour plus some badges and that's about it. The Argyll still had the usual disco options list.

Clarkson I think it was had a theory about car manufaturers that release SE models and limit the colour choices - he thinks they're normally the ones they have a pile of in an unpopular colour left so they badge them up different, add something shiny and people snap them up.

Thanks for the welcome Discool. Also I must say that Clarkson's theory holds water - just like most Discos I've seen so far! Correction many Discos dont hold any water - it merely escapes through the boot floor!

Argylle was to get rid of the last of the 300tdi's before they released the TD5. think the seats had a fancy pattern on em anorl IIRC,
