I've recently found out that frank pickles are no longer taking on new business for 4x4 insurance. I'm currently insured with them. They don't take no claims into account. i.e., they don't ask for your NCB when you insure and you don't accrue any with them. I was insured with sureterm direct but cancelled after 4 months as I wanted to mod my truck and they wouldn't insure it. I've now been insured with frank pickles for nearly a year and I'm obviously going to have to insure with someone else at renewal time, can I use my NCB that I accrued before (effectively 16months ago by the end of this policy) or will I have to start from scratch?

Frank Pickles is only a broker not an insurance company so just go to another broker with a renewal notice which states your ncd. If you have a standard disco you can always go direct to an insurance company for a quote.

Just because you do not formally accrue ncb on a Pickles policy does not mean that they cannot be asked to confirm in writing that at inception via them you produced X years of ncb from a previous insurer (in indeed you did) or perhaps of more relevance , that whilst you have been insured via them you have not made a claim. Those are questions of fact, how your new insurers treat the answers is up to them but kind of difficult to argue the logic that X years of insurance without a claim does not equal X years no claims bonus ?

If you go on frank pickles website and go to fill out their online form, it uses Adrian flux.
