that warranty aint worth nothing land rover can make em but havnt got a clue how to fix em

How bad is the LR dealer supplied warranty......ie just whats covered and more importantly not, as theres going to be one on the P38 I collect this week

TDV8 is awesome over the TD6. TD6 is just a tractor engine. TDV8 is the best.

Although make sure the software is up to date as it's proper expensive to get reiinstalled or updated.

LR Warranty is better than third party warrantys, but still check the small print.

Also you are lucky to find a P38 at a LR Dealer, and luckier to find a LR Dealer willing to put a Warranty on such an 'old' car.

I did chuckle lol come on mhm man up and do the right thing

Talk him out of it

ah the tdv8s are ok not great but we used to get rich fat boys from ukriane who bought them and blew the transfer boxes up, we had no end of problems with a tdv8 sport the bluddy thing would not run right on one bank no matter what we did in the end the body was taken off and we mocked up a steering system and brakes etc then we drove it about as a go cart until we got it right but turbos allsorts were swapped

Thats what I've been told Saint.V8, but am doing a reprise of a few things tomorrow in advance of pickup, so will verify 3/4 things. As a point of info guys, I have not seen this P38 yet, what are my "distance" buying rights, have put a deposit on it BTW

don't think it can have a LR warrantee.
they will only do one up to 9 yrs old, so even if the one your getting is a late 2002, it can't have one.
I think they must be putting a 3rd party warrantee on it.
must still be a stunner for a p38 to be sold via a LR dealer.
enjoy!

Not being sold by an MD, so again, need to clarify, but was told, it was the best the local MOT guy had seen in many years.....sales talk??!!

:p

From your post above you seem to imply it is being sold by a Land Rover Dealer....so it isn't being supplied by a Land Rover Dealer but an independent garage....they will not be in a position to supply a LR Warranty then - more likely a third party warranty, and even then on a 10+ year old car, the warranty will be next to useless....better to have some cash in the bank and learn to repair yourself.

Most 3rd party warranties are not worth the paper it is I written on.

I've never had a warranty on any car other than one bought from a dealer as a new car, and not done that for 15 plus years. So I will clarify, again, sales talk.

Just checked its a Car Care Plan warranty as offered by differing marques/MDs/other dealers on their used cars, and supposedly half decent at honouring problems.

Hope I won't have to find out!!!
