Bloody Hell, Why anyone would buy a car and not get the new keeper supplement is beyond me.

I would be filling it out with the person your buying the car off. My V5 took about a month to get back to me from when I bought the landy.

You could always try a HPI check???

i always try and banter the full log book with there signature when im buying that way you can be sure its sent off :D

cant ya renew the tax online without a v5?
Why buy a car without any tax and WTHOUT A V5!!!!!MAD!

to my knowlege you dont need the log book to tax a vehicle. you can fill in the application for the v5 at the post office at the time of taxing it.

you need to show mot and insurance though.

As Viv says, I have done this is the past and it didn't cost me anything extra either.

Find a speed camera and drive past at 15mph over the limit...they will get in touch with you quick enough then!!!
