i know there is plenty of advice about wot size tyres will fit on my standard disco but i been offered a set of part worn 265/75/16 BF Goodrich all terrains and i know ill have to trim some body work to get them to fit but my question is that i have read a few threads on here about bigger tyres and some people say they will **** your diffs up . can someone explain to me why that is cos i just cant see it as your not making individual wheels turn at different speeds your just raising the axles off the ground a bit higher

Can't se how fitting taller tyres will damage your diffs. Lots of people do it never heard of it causing problems.

thats what i thought but i read it a while back on another thread on here so i thought its best to ask before i buy them cos i seen a few with 265/75/16 s on now and they look good

Got 265's on mine, had em on my last disco and on me 110. Apart from the pain in the arse of having to chop the bodywork no problems whatsoever.
