With you on that one, can't help smiling at the rusty set of tools on the shadow board in most workshopsAs a trained sheet metal worker(double curve including coachbuilding) I have my ideas and other people can have their ways, but you can keep your washing up liquid![]()

Somebody has a very high horse todayAlright then, the gas oven didn't go high enough to anneal aluminium. Not having a set of metal work tools I do my beast.
So what do you say I've got to use instead of washing up liquid.
Rusty tools. That's because you're too idle to wipe them clean after use and put them away in a locked tool box. I recomend Snap-On tool boxes as well as tools.

No high horse for me. I do not like somebody telling me that the use of soap of any sort is not for checking annealing aluminium alloy.
Please note I said aluminium alloy not not aluminium which is a base metal not an alloy.
As for rusty tools. Have you seen the state that mechanics sometimes get there tools in working in rain and mud at the roadside. So I learnt a long time ag, the late 1950's, that you clean things and put them away.
Oh yes. I have ALLOY wheels on my Defender. Alloy STEEL....

I will ask again
Saying as you DOWNED me about using washing up liquid for annealing aluminium alloy. As I do not have the use of a furnace I have to use other methods
SO WHAT SHOULD I AND EVERYBODY ELSE USE INSTEAD OF SOAP. ?
mike
Is that how your lot spell WINE, as we are kind enough to let you use our language please use it correctly.
