I know it's a bit off subject but if you mix 5 litres of petrol & 15 litres of heating oil you get TVO and I run my old tractor on it![]()
It won't last long, TVO is Tractor vapourising oil. Red diesel to you. Mixing heating oil which has few lubricating properties and petrol which has no lubricating properties is going to fook your injector pump up. Petrol is the last thing you want to be mixing heating oil with for that use. A little in diesel in winter is fine but nothing like that ratio of mix.
what tractor do you have ,my favourite was allis chalmers d270
my uncle has 1 of only a handful left in the world still running on TVO![]()
Better make that two now then... ;-)
most were converted to diesal when TVO was fazed out
I guess the old boy that had it for all those years must have liked the smell!
good one any piccys, i served my time a massey dealers in early 80s ,bigger tractors but still basically the same design hydraulically, first tractor where hydraulic arms could be used to give traction
