:confused:can Liquid Frying Oil using on diesel engine just as vegatable oil, or has anyone use this before ,, i think it easy to got hold of this , for FISH AND CHIP,,,,,,,,,,,,:D

Hes from Belgium he has the chips without the fish and mayonnaise in place of it

But yea you have to filter it, and in some cases you have to get heat to it before it goes in to the injectors (its too thick) I think I'm right in saying that

Be careful mate chips were invented in Belgium. It's only because some very disorientated GIs thought they were in France, that they are called French Fries. :D:D:D

Yea true, but then we improved on them :D we cut them thicker so the potato didn't come out of them when you fry them!!

To be safe in addition to filtering you need to process it to remove the glycerides. It's quite a simple process. If you don't do it it will sooner or later gum up the engine. Unprocessed it's reckoned you can mix it with diesel up to 50/50.

Some engines suffer from ring gumming on wvo...mercs are a pain but it can be got around.
Research a lot before you tip any svo in your tank.

I dont know how true this is but i have heard that if you buy a 200 l drum of heating oil and add about 5 l of vegie oil to it you can run your diesel on italso i dont know the price of heating oil so dont know if it would be economical.

Don't f*cking do it and stop telling people you've heard rumours that you can do this unless you want to start buying replacement engines for the people that listen to you :doh::doh::doh:

So you use WVO and what is the oil you use is it sunflower Canola peanut ,grape seed, olive oil, or palm nut oil. and what is the mixture you run apart from saying the mix of heating oil and vegtable oil is not good.
as all oil are different the cetane number must be different?
Which is the best oil as you must have done some research before just pouring in some filtered wvo?

5ltrs of heating oil to 200 ltrs of veg sounds better. heating oils is kerosene which burns red hot, alot hotter than diesel and will have the exhaust manifold glowing red. I use kero with my svo in the winter months to thin it down.

I heard a roumour that if you fill your tank with AVGAS then your landy with fly

DISCLAIMER: I can not be responsible if you do break into a airport and tank up with AVGAS, find you cant fly, blow your engine into 1000 pieces and with CO19 stood behind you :D

Diesels won't run off petrol. AVGAS is petrol with a very low water content and around 110 octane. :):):)

I thought AVGAS was basically paraffin? it smells like it from where I live anyway, my son is an aircraft engineer I will ask him when he gets home

You thout wrong very highly refined gas no H2O for when they are they are at high allitude the gas dosen't freeze. In august at 42,000 ft it was -60f on the trip over

Avgas is petrol. Avtur is paraffin. No need to ask your lad. Avgas, Aviation gasoline. Petrol. Avtur, Aviation turbine fuel. Paraffin.
