I have a 4.2sc and bought a new set of plugs as its running lean on gas sometimes.

I thought would be a quick easy job.

Removed the engine cover and I can't even see the plugs or HT leads.

Where are they?

Thanks from a stupid member

Not having any experience with this engine, I'd guess the coil packs sit on top of the individual plugs so no HT leads

In the same place as any other V8 I would think. If its anything like the XK8 engine, first the top cover then the covers over each bank to reveal the plugs and leads, of course there's also other stuff first to remove to give access. So a plug change takes me over an hour. The XK 8 has its coil packs together at the rear IIRC.

An air leak would cause lean running or else faulty efi component, check all intake / VAC hoses are fitted and sound.

Thanks will take a look around, it reports lean on both banks and after a reset goes anywhere between 50 and 150 miles before engine management light is back.

Thanks had a quick look did see some plastic covers over the banks under the supercharge will investigate more
