Hi,

I have a freelander (2001, 30K FSH) with a knackered head gasket - I suspect, from what I have read that this is going to keep happening as there is a design fault.

I'm not sure how smegged the engine is but I could be looking at a replacement.

If so I'm wondering wether or not there is a different engine I can fit - has anyone done/seen/tried this?

i have seen the l series diesel put in but also gearbox changed not heard of anything else
