hi
my alpine windows (well i think thats wot they'r called) are leaking. the seals are cracked on the outside. was thinking of removing and replacing seals. how hard is this to do??
if difficult was thinking of using a clear silicon around the cracks seal. which shall i do?

Replace 'em. s'easy ish ...

Just think how long they've lasted so far, will silicone last that long?

Easy job. Pull the rubber strip out of the middle of the outside of the seal. The whole lot will then be a bit loose in the hole and you can pop it out. To re fit, place the glass in the seal and work it into the hole then re fit the rubber strip into the middle of the seal on the out side. Might be a bit easier with two pairs of hands. Bit of soapy water on the seal helps.

the north pole, they got that many they batter them to death every year !
