Comedy help......simply drive at speed until horrendous vibration commences, remove wheels
Do you know thats not as stupid as it seems !! Just loosen the wheel nuts, drive off a kerb or something,the wheel can not come off,just tighten nuts and return to base,job done !!
Ive seen a garage put one nut back on, done it up half way and hand brake turned the car, wheel pops off a treat, he then says that the front is done the same way just going backwards at speed and yanking the wheel round.
have to say owner of car had dropped it off and i was waiting for my wifes car to be handed back, i hasten to add i wont be returning to this garage.

Might be worth pointing out that it's not a good idea to try a handbrake turn in a Disco, unless you have plenty of spare cash.

Lots of ideas thanks. Took it to the tyre bay today and let him have a go. He severely ****ted it with a big hammer on the inside of the tyre till it gave in and fell off. Next job is to take it off again and clean both the wheel and the hub and copperslip them before I put it back on.

ive acualy done the drive with nuts lose trik before
but yes its blody dangourus
last time i did it was on a merc car had to drive up to the closest roundabout and went round and round until it came lose then stoped and niped up the nuts and went back to the garage only to find the blody wheel was stuk again
but looky i had a special land rover losening tool back then (blody big hamer for those not had a landy long enuf)
and beat the crap out of it til it submitted and fell off

The lad greased it before he put it back on. I also need some new locking nuts and a key as in its past tyre fitters have used a buzz gun on them and stuffed them. An easy job for a sunny day!
