Hi, does anyone know if the Evolution 17" x 8" Alloy Wheels off a 2003 freelander will fit a 99 V reg model ?

surely if early wheels won't fit later cars (because they are a different size, offset or pitch), then surely the later wheels won't fit an early freelander for the same reason ?

or are you saying that a 99 and an 03 are both classed as early versions ?

A 1998 wheel will fit a 2003 vehicle (stud wise), but will most likely foul on the brake calipers on the front (they were revised post 2000) and the rear hubs were changed too.

It seems crazy, but I have seen alloys from early vehicles that have rubbed / fouled on later models.

The decisive answer is early vehicles (1997 - 2000) can accomodate wheels from 1997 - 2006.

Freelander 2 wheels definately do not fit freelander 1 vehicles!!

Mine fit with no rubbing of any kind mine came from a 04 pre facelift Model I WENT from 16 / 17 Mupley :) :) :)

You will have no problems with this combination. Your wheels will fit all freelander 1's.

It's been covered on here somewhere about wheel studs snapping due to early wheels not seating properly on later cars rear drums.
 
hi just getting a 2001 freelander tomorrow but looking at changing the 16" rims straight away. would like to get some 18" or 19" landrover alloys can anyone help with which alloys will fit.

The only genuine LR 18" alloys that fit the freelander are the 'sport ones'.

Freelander did not come with 19s as standard or as an option.
