When i reconnect my battery to save it going dead the alarm sounds , no amount of key pressing will turn it off.
I have to get in start it and wait for alarm to turn off any help?
Also fingers crossed pluging in lap to hopefully clear eas fault

Think you have to turn the key in ignition to position 1 then back again. Have you tried that?

not tried that, i start it maybe 2 to 3 times then the alarm dies away and all is good just ****es the neighbors off .

I'm sure that was in the owners handbook - I'll check in the morning.

When disconnecting you have to follow the procedure in the handbook and you then have 17 seconds to disconnect. It's better to never disconnect the battery, sort out why it drains or replace the battery if it's week. I can leave mine for 3 weeks now it has a good battery with no problems.

I think (!) you might be able to disable the alarm using a Nanocom or similar. There are a lot of settings in there!

i have commun problem... i've read that i have to diconnect a unit callled bbus ! but i don't knoe its location!

Sorry - I understand that English is probably not your language but I don't know what a 'bbus' is.
What is the problem?

bbus= battery backed-up sounder...
the problem in my p38 is that the alarm remains sounding even after i unlock the car and turn the ignition on! thanks for replying!

BBUS. Battery back up sounder. Look in Workshop manual> Electrical> description. For info.

Have a look just behind your battery. It might even be marked sounder or something similar and it's the thing that's making all the noise.
