Good evening, anybody got any ideas re the above. I can't stay my P38, I replaced the fob batteries, & done the "AKE" numbers thing but I can't stop the alarm light flashing & ultimately sounding the alarm going off

Sounds like it's possibly one of the microswitches in the drivers door latch which has failed, meaning that the EKA can't be input. I refurbish door latches and see a lot of them where the switches inside slowly go intermittent in operation, and finally just stop altogether.

I posted up on one of the other range rover forums a downloadable file with tests in it to check the switches - and I've attached it here for you. If the latch is faulty and you want a reconditioned one, then drop me a PM.

Ok, thanks Marty, the AA managed to get me going this morning by pressing of & on alternative lock/unlock buttons until the "armed" led went out. Which was a result, but it does make a few beeps when I switch the engine off,as if the door is open. But at least it locks, unlocks & starts each time!
