I think the alarm and immobiliser are standard on my truck (300tdi 1997) and when I bought the truck I soon found that due to the f***ed buttons on the fob, it would lock the disco up, arm the alarm but would not unlock on the button therefore, alarm goes off when you unlock on the key. So a quick fiddle with the buttons and I reversed it, so I lock on the key and unlock on the button. Sometimes when I go to turn the key the little car flashes up on the dash, but a quick push on the unlock button it goes out.
But, down to the reason I am writing this thread in the first place, a very simple question, if I hide an isolation/battery cut of switch, and cut the power, is it going to have an effect on the alarm and immobiliser????
P.s. it the buttons on the circuit boards which are no good, so just buying a fob case didn't work. And new ones are silly money.
Cheers
