Hi all, I recently blew my drivebelt.. All now sorted, but it led to an overheat which latched my aircon fan on, thanks to knowledgeable bods on this forum, I managed to source a hawkeye and sort.. Problem now is that aircon not blowing cold..it did before I blew the belt. Got some solid advice around checking relays, aircon dtcs on the unit itself and the ac clutch using hawkeye . Here's the thing, it's all checked out..so I'm left considering that either the belt going has somehow busted the compressor and / or vented the gas?.. Obviously I can take it to be regassed, but I've done that before and they charge you whether they can recharge the system or not.. if they tell me it won't pressurise, I'm guessing it would have to be the compressor? and I'd need to replace and pay again for them to regas? Is there any way for me to check the system is pressured without buying expensive diy aircon kit?

after you tested it i'm up to buy the kit and send you £18 via paypal if you post it to me in Romania so you'll loose only around £2 for using it

I had no idea they were that cheap!, I've actually just talked to a mechanic who said he'd check the pressure for free, so will probably take that route first, but if I do end up needing to get one of those gauges, I'll let you know.. .thanks
