OK, I have been a bit dumb and jacked my Discovery 4 whilst changing the tyre in the wrong place and heard a loud crack (think I jacked the car on the air suspension cover). My suspension on my back left wheel has dropped, it still drives fine, but makes a clicking noise when I start driving for about 30-50 seconds then stops, and the same happens when I switch off the car (as the air suspension drops when turned off), or highten the suspension for off roading. Can anybody please help what needs replacing, how much is will cost, as the Land Rover dealer by me, has not got a good rep.

You most probably broke the aluminium bracket that bolts to the chassis, there is a slim chance you have some minor damage to the wiring and some plumbing, maybe the valves too, it depends how high you want and was it jacked up like that the whole time while you changed the wheel, the other question is does your Disco have a Hitachi or AMK compressor fitted. The brackets differ.

rangy35, nope as soon as heard the crack I lowered it and put the jack in the correct place. It is an AMK compressor, any idea on the cost to repair?

Most of the time it is only the bracket that breaks, I don't think they are too expensive, but the AMK compressor is not long out in the market and never had to just renew the AMK's bracket. So it's a heard call, sorry.
