DEFENDER 90kw built 2003:
want to clean the air conditioning systems, air channels and replace the filter - does somebody now how to tackle that ?

Open bulkhead vent flaps, remove straw and dead flies.....done

If it is smelly or you are worried about mold You can get disinfectant spray, they come with a long tube with a sprayer on the end so you can stick it down the vents. As for the filter they don't have a pollen filter the only filter is the receiver drier and you will need too remover the gas to change that then re-gas.

tip I had, and works, use a household disinfectant spray (domestos or similar) and spray into the inlet, run the fan on low for a few seconds to pull it round the system, leave for a while to do its biz. if its really bad you may need to do it a second time.
Sorted.
Just make sure it has NO BLEACH in the spray, that wont do yer upholsery any good. I did nottice recently that some fabric fresheners have anti bac in, those would be ideal

thanks to you folks for the tips, hopefully becoming warmer now will try to get the air conditioning system at least desinfected
