Morning!

I'm in the long process of registering my Land Rover Lightweight and have provided all of the information needed apart from the 'NOVA' certificate. I understand what these are for - imported vehicles to the uk, notification to HMRC etc - however cannot see how to get hold of one for the Land Rover, or why I'd need one! I understood it was for vehicles being imported into the UK.

Has anyone been through this process and had experience with a NOVA?

Cheers!

Recent discussion on a classic bike forum I use covered this, bikes from France, USA etc.
Best advice was to phone DVLA direct as they are very helpful. New rules are in place and not all DVLA staff are yet aware but over 30 years old NOVA is no longer required. Not been through the process myself but several of the bike boys have.

It's to say that HMRC don't want any money off you for VAT or duty. You fill in the form online, and should get an answer in short order.

Contacted HMRC and they confirmed that i didnt need one. Then spoke to DVLA and they agreed and apologised for sending me back my application!

Ahh well, a weeks' delay in the process is hardly a mark in the time it takes for an age registration application!

thank you for your help chaps!
