Illegal over 750kg gross weight of towed vehicle . (which pretty well rules out 99.9% of UK road legal vehicles) Get a trailer if you have required level of licence .

so towing with no brakes is a no go. a lad i know has said i can use his tranny beavertail but i think a disco would take it over weight, would i be legit weight wise pulling with the disco on a trailer with my disco?

Max weight including trailer is 3500kg. Discovery 1 weighs approx 2000kg so as long as the trailer weighs less then 1500kg you'll be within the maximum allowed for a disco.

Just Aframe it, where's your sense of adventure? Just don't brake on corners, or in the rain, or to sharply.. In fact, it's best to avoid braking

int there something about if the wheels is on the road the towed vehicle has to be mot'd, taxed and insured?

I towed a Disco on a trailer with my 200 Disco from Cornwall to Cheshire.

Straight as a die all the way and did 25mpg ish.

No problem:)

I used my mates fiesta diesel and a rope to pull my disco about 6 miles... The fiesta did well but it's clutch didnt!

poor little fiesta :D my cousins fella drove it for me he's got two of them red paltes. He said they would cover him so i let him do it
