I have always hankered after a Discovery Commercial and am starting to look at them more closely.

My ideal one would be one which is the 5 door version with heated seats and headlamp washers. However when I look at second hand ones I rarely meet one with the specification I want. I tend to look on ebay and autotrader. I am thinking of going to auctions too.

I would appreciate advice on what to look out for in a discovery and can you retrofit heated seats as the wiring loom etc will already be in place and headlamp washers? If so how easy is this? If its difficult are the landrover specialists who can help?

what is the difference then ?
its got 5 doors he wanted and headlamp wash oh and a HUGH boot as it has no back seats.
in other words a posh van/ commercial vehicle.

no ? ok then.

The commercial disco's I have seen are 3 door although 5 door disco's are/have been supplied in southern Ireland minus the rear seats and a few other things so the can be called commerical and therefore will pay less duty on the vehicle. But then I may be wrong.

That is a disco 2 commercial
They all came with 5 doors as disco 2 3 door was not an option
if you look at the rear (door and quarter) windows they are plastic and yes you can claim the vat back on them
