sadly, some of these, but not all, names we never seem to hear of no more..
So, my son and heir

often borrows my disco.
used it once, parked on the incline next to his bungalow, back door open to get the shopping out, slams the back door with his foot as his hands held 4 or 5 bags of shopping, to see my disco start roling down the incline into a firmly planted wooden telegraph pole.
bang it went shaking the pole and lines.. son never moved just stared at it all...
a while later he comes over to me - dad, your handbrake dont work - he said
anyway, the bent bumper was infront of the offside wheel,
so we found a strong lump of chain, bolted it round the bumper at damaged end, bolted it to his scrappy old toyota corrola, and I told him to drive of till it goes bang and stop..
3 bangs later, my disco bumper was back in place without a broken bulb or anything
( I now got a new porta power-but then......)
strangely, its the same side thats now got an offending non lighting headlight...err ??
