4.6 Thor 2000 seem sluggish on acceleration but once up to speed seems ok just bit like jumpy when speeding up and when slowing down like fuel starvation any suggestions would be great

Tired intank fuel pump?
Have you had a peep at your air filter also?
Plugs..
If you check around the plug leads while the engine is running in the dark, it'll reveal any broken down HT leads buy showing shorting out.. sounds daft but it works

Thanks have checked air filter and plugs will check leads at wkend what’s the best way to test in tank fuel pump

Dunno about the petrol but on the oil burner you uncouple the fuel line somewhere and then bridge the pump relay and see how much fuel ****es out.

It would be nice to know what pressure the pump puts out when in good fettle?
Anybody? It can be measured at the fuel rail with the appropriate gauge or off the fuel line.
Maybe the rave manual could tell you that.
