Have just put the Freelander back on the road after two months SORN and when moving off, felt the ABS chattering as though it was trying to work. When it cleared, the three warning lights came on and now won't go out. Brakes work fine although haven't tested ABS or TC and all the fuses and fuse links are ok. My feeling is it may just need plugged into a machine to have a fault cleared. Any ideas??

worth taken it for a daignostic check, plenty of LR credit garages will do it for around £40

Stealers charge alot more.

Check the brake light switch. There are two of them, one for the lights and one for the ECU. Search for threads under "three amigoes" it is a very common fault.

It's the front left sensor ring goosed (not nice is a goosed ring!) Showed up on a fault reader. Needs a new cv joint as the ring is boinded to it and comes complete with the drive shaft apparently. Not a cheap fix but got the car with a warranty so here goes................ Thanks to those who replied.
