Hi there, my offside rear abs cable keeps popping out on articulation, this is due to the 2inch lift. Does anyone know of how i can extend them. The american ones are 90 pounds before shipping so i would prefer to avoid that option.
First of all where is the cable popping out of, a clip?
I don't know about you, but if I wish to extend a cable I would cut the cable and install a piece of similar cable, soldered and sleeved at both ends to form an extension of the length I required. Simples.
I take it that its just a plug and socket connection that's coming apart, am I correct?.
Is cable so tight on articulation that if the plug/socket connection didn't come apart the cable could snap?
Well at the moment u have three options, extend the cable, try a front cable as suggested, or even see if u cab re-route the cable to give u a bit of slack
Why doesn't it happen on the nearside rear? what's different and its easy to stop the plug connection or any similar connection coming apart with cable ties.
If u get time post a link to these £90 American cables, I like to see what they look like I done see why they can't be made and sold here, there's no problem with access to materials maybe I could get one of my techies at work to make few up.
Tbh i would like to extend both rear ones. It is tight to the point of snapping if it wasnt for the plug. https://www.expeditionexchange.com/slickrockfab/
do from cables definitely work for the rear?
