If anyone in this situation (fancying an abandoned landy) is struggling to find the landowner you can do a land registry search. I used to do loads when I worked on fly-tipping for the council. You usually get an address and name from it and you could write them a letter asking if they wanted to sell it.

Or leave a note on the screen.

There are two really similar near me; an 88 and a 109 LHD. Both growing various mosses etc.. on them and rotting away. It is a shame but they are a feature of the countryside I guess!

If this was My land and my landy and you were snooping around my Property. well I would have to see about trespassing charges against you. How would you like someone snooping in your back garden? bet you would be singing a different tune

Its on or next to a public right of way

Seems a bit silly to post it's location considering this is a public part of the forum

I think people are missing the point this isnt a lets all steal landys its a if this beautiful machine is just here to rot away and one of us is willing to put some effort in and see if they can't buy it (I am by the way) I'm looking for a forgotten landy pride in the built not bought. I may find it has an owner willing to sell. It may be that the land owner has found it and is doing the same. It looks stood but cleaned off the land owner my be undertaking the salvage process as we speak.

Whats the definition of an abandoned landy? No idea me self ands thats why people cant tell between a used one and a abandoned one:bounce::bounce:

You can tell by the use by dates on the empty crisp packets stuffed behind the seats :p

I have a S2a parked in a field awaiting, money and time from me.
Been there for 18 months and likely to be there for another 12 months (until the house is finished).

If its location had been posted on a public forum and I'd found people lifting the bonnet and snooping around I would be extremely ****ed off.

Trespass to land is a criminal offence (since 1994) trespass to goods is quite vague.

true but not really relevant Dominic

Civil trespass is not a criminal offence in the UK. You cannot be arrested for civil trespass, but you can be sued by the landowner in a civil court.

Criminal Trespass applies to a specific list of sites, including defence sites, nuclear power stations and royal palaces.

ther must be someone living in or around the barn, i would ask a few questions and make it known that i am interested in buying it
