But it's not the same driving round a small cheap car

I don't know what it is but driving a range rover makes me smile Everytime I drive ! Lol

LOL i can stand the heat of owning a rangie ITS THE HEAT OFF OUR LASS I STRUGGLE WITH :behindsofa: She is gonna go ballistic:mad: after wat ive spent already she will want money spending on her lol :( I agree there int nowt like drivin a range rover its in a different class tbh ! BUT my beemers were good too just hope wen i replace front bags it will last a while wi out needing more work ! PS: DO you all advise to change BOTH fronts at same time or just one will do ????
 
I only replaced the one front bag when it popped

Although I should be doing the other side too as that could go pop any time soon as its the original strut

I think it will make sense to change both TBH while its on a ramp (plus my mate will be sick of the sight of it soon) Ive found some at about £250 inc vat so looks like im doing my rip. My mate gonna plug it in tomoz just to double check, i wanna clear faults get it up to level an see wat happens apart from the air blast i had an visual checks is there a fault that will log to say its a bust bag ???? Also do i need to DEpressurise the full system before changing the airbag strut

Yep makes sense mate make sure the other good side is actually old
It could be new for all you know lol

No need to deflate if the airbag is split othwise you can deflate using manual deflate options on diagnostics
 
Yeah seen that deflate front rear or all on the diagnostics. just read a post sayin i need to disconnect battery..... WHY ? RSW advises removing EAS fuses thats about it ????:confused:
 
I didn't remove battery or fuses

Just leave a door open, it stopped the EAS from inflating while your working on the system

And you reckon the L322 is better than a P38:hysterically_laughi I've spent a lot less than that in 3 years including oil & filters and Arnott Gen II's on my P38:D

You will not get it up to level or clear the faults with a bust airbag, the fault may clear, but as soon as it fails to rise it will log another while at the same time wearing out your new compressor. If it's the airbag, fix it before you bother clearing the faults. There should be no need to re-calibrate either. Should only need to leave a door or the tailgate open while you work.

probably all the parts I replaced yours had already been replaced previously !

Course p38 parts are cheaper, it's a "lesser" car compared to the l322!!

Can't be bothered to get into another tiff about p38's and l322's :d
 
i got my air strut from islands 3 weeks ago, £222 delivered. takes about 30 minutes to fit. ask our wonderful saint, to send you the link he sent me.

Yeah ive seen the one from island for 185 + vat ! Shame the OSF int the same price lol. The reason im plugging it in is i wanna see if the fault "TOO MUCH ENERGY REQUIRED TO MAINTAIN HEIGHT" is stored. The knowledge that is STOREY WILSON says this is the fault so just wanna see. This time im not gonna search for other possible problems it blatantly obvious its a burst air bag after the EXACT same happened to HIPPO whilst doin the same as me with calibration.
 
Just plugged into fault reader "articulation validity fault" showing ??? Googled this an EVERYTHING is pointing to a failed height sensor ??? Thing is they are all brand new so how can one be FUBARD ??? Ordered new front airbags anyway but wat else could this be ???
 
If it dropped and pushed the Sensor beyond its usual position, this will no doubt show as a fault - as it is not in the 'normal' range the EAS system expects...

Replace the strut, reset faults and see if it still shows up.....I am sure it isn't a faulty sensor more like it is just not within usual limits due to strut failure....
 
problem is saintv8 is now the two front an nsr are all working but the OSR WILL NOT RAISE !!!! Its like my fault has left NSF an gone to OSR ????:confused:also taking reading of height sensors osr isnt giving a reading an voltage low but its plugged in ??? UPDATE ive found the split in NSF bag gonna replace both fronts this week an try again keep checking this post ill keep you updated !!!
