I am new to landrover defenders and their decidedly unpredictable ways. Like the way parts just fall off for no apparent reason (ie mud guards) or parts stop working only to start again without warning (radio). They turn, what used to be boring predictable journeys in a volvo (nothing ever went wrong, expect the speeding points) into slower (thank the Lord) yet more interesting adventures where I never would be quite sure if I would arrive at my destination in the same mechanical state that I started out on the journey. Even stepping out in the mornings I feel a nervous excitement, "is my defender going to be where I parked it, or has some thieving git helped themselves to it or some of its parts".
The reason for my joining the forum is these mechanical idiosyncrasies, of which I will go into on another thread. I hope you may be able to help me with my queries.
