well i decided to change the a frame ball joint and my rear shocks yesterday!
i had to get the local landy indie garage to get the ball joint out of the casting as it was well stuck in! i could see the mechanic smacking it with a big old hammer to no avail, then the got the oxy torch out untill it was all glowing red then smacked it abit more and it came out! after letting it cool he cleaned all the threads and mating surfaces and stuck a new one in for me. 8 quid labour! well worth it!
undid the bottom mount of the drivers side shock and then it dropped to the floor, leaving the top part attached! snapped in half!
so now i have a lovely non clunking (!!!) non bouncing nice solid feeling land rover!
i like how everything i do to it seems to improve her massively!
pretty chuffed with that 95 quid.
