Is there any way to get the freelander to be a bit more noisy?
I mean the hamsters in the engine bay do a great job of pulling the freebie along but i wouldnt mind a lil bit of a growl from emm.
Ive seen people taking the rear silencer off which stops it hitting teh ground and sounds quite good, but is it legal and are there any problems with this.
Are there any other ways shuch as strait through exhaust systems? If so where from?

I think if you take off the rear silencer, ( as some have to stop it being knocked off ) you can fit, what used to be called a Cherry bomb type silencer, bit noisy but not illegal.
Google it to see where you can get them, they used to be a universal fitting an all.

Remove the Cat, fit a Decat pipe, upgrade the air filter to an iTG panel filter, look up into the upper part of the air filter housing. Remove that funnel thing, its a silencer for air induction, plus a 52mm alum throttle body. That will set the beast alight on the moorland and scare the sheep
 
dint half make me laugh thinking about agaylander going past makeing that noise.. its side splittingly funny
 
Spine tingling noise of a Merlin.
The pic you see in my avatar is from Scrabo Hill.
There is an air strip just to the left of the hill.
I took my 4 year old up to watch the annual airshow last summer, One of the US vintage planes did a flyby for the spectators on the hill it wasnt a Spitfire but something similar.
The hairs on the back of my neck stood up as that thing approached, it tilted sideways as the pilot acknowledged the crowd and the noise reverbed off the steep hillside.
How could something sound that good? and we were the free spectators, the crowd in the airfield would not have got the same effect.
 
P51 mustang had the merlin its the one all the yanks wanted to fly because it had the most power and the fastest top speed was still no spitty (or Hurricane for that matter)

Are you taking notes Marcus? I dont care if you are not doing history GCSE, somewhere in your exam papers you have to include the words P51 Mustang and Merlin.

Ahh indeed i have and B-17, Wellington and Halifax haha thanks for all the help and the history lesson! Wasn't the p-51 Made a whole lot better because the Brittish added higher calibre guns and long range fule tanks? at least i think it was the p-51.

hmmm that vidio of the spit is verry good, wonderful invetion. I have a vidio taken by my grandad on cini film i think thats what the old film type is but its of a vulcan flying and is quite spectacular!
