Having winch fitted but not sure whether to go for a winch bumper with an A bar. Are there any pro's and cons. Does it effect winching if you have an A bar fitted?????????? Cheers for advice

A bar everytime for me. Helps to protect the rad in the event of an impact. An A bar doesn't really effect winching but can be used to attach worklights to which will help when winching at night.

I try and have both when possible. It's good to be able to winch from inside the vehicle AND from a safe distance when needed. A decent quality wireless remote along the lines of a 'lodar' unit are £130 upwards. Wiring a winch switch on the dash is quite a cheap but effective way of getting shot of the wander lead. If you don't have the money for a decent wireless remote you could stick an extra long cable on the wonder lead. I fitted a 50m lead to my first recovery truck.
