Cant really help with a solution apart from the obvious. Depending how long they are, stick them in the rear tub with the ends over the cab.
I wanted a truck cab, and was close to buying one when the missus pointed out the afore mentioned issue to me.
Now i have a playboat and a couple of creekers, the playboat would be fine but the creekers would stick up a fair bit. Im presuming as your in the bahamas that your not going to be paddling playboats?! if there sea kayaks or sit on tops you may be a little fooked there.
Only other thing i can think is, get a couple of roof bars you'd have to have them close together, strap the boats down as per usual and tie both ends of the boats to the front and rear of your land rover. Just like a normal car but less space.
Dont know if youll get them in the Bahamas though. Any good roof rack manufacturer would make a set that are land rover compatible. there just the rail type that clamp on to your gutter.
I have a set here you could buy as long as you pay the postage that is!
