hi can anyone help I need a diagram of the carbs for a 2.5 na petrol as mine seems to want to die when at lights cough and backfire when lifting off the throttle, and leaks fuel onto the inlet manifold when turned off.
so I want to strip it down and check and clean it all to see if that solves the problem.

Sounds like you need a carb service kit, if its leaking at the gasket it will also suck air in giveing the symptons you described,,if you do strip it down get yourself a carb kit witch should include the relevant gaskets

If it,s got a weber carb they are prone to this.I made mine better with a carb kit,new gasket and re-setting the mixture screws.

Oh and get rid of your points for an electronic jobby if not already done.
