meanwhile, now we have kids the renault twingo is too small. so can anyone give me some hints on how to change it into an espace.

i'm thinking new shell and engine and some interior bits.

the point is with a defender its easy to

it's not that easy (seen how long rebuilds take on here) and at the end it will need a q plate and have cost a fair bit for all the 110 parts.

off the top of my head, rear axle due to the 110 weight, rear prop, brakes might now be out of balance?, exhaust system, new brake lines, fuel tank, loom needs extending and the panels

doesn't make any sense to me, unless 110's became really rare and expensive.

it is easy ,and the rest is someones choice

Isn't back-chatting JM an offence? He knows his stuff, but let's be honest - changing a 90 to a 110 is daft, albeit possible!

yes, i was waiting to be smited once i hit submit! :D

i should have said time consuming, not easy.

Building a 110 from new parts ( alright, maybe not the engine ) is almost possible. How much would that cost? Seriously, it must have been worked out. I just can't be arsed to search for it after too many ciders watching rugby.

if you already have a 90 that needs a chassis not much more for a van back or truck cab, building a double cab will require finding certain extra parts

Falling out of a tree is also easy, but its not something I'd want to be doing.

perhaps not but others do , ive built a few special defenders for people ,for some its because of need ie flat back haylage bale carrier or just personal desire

Oh come on James, Who do you know who actually wants to fall out of a tree? :p

I know this. I was speaking hypothetically/drunkenly about how much would it cost to build a Defender from scratch with as many new parts as possible. Has anyone ever bothered to work it out?
It seemed like an interesting question last night. Maybe not so much now!

Sell the 90, buy a 110 with a rotten chassis and then get a Galvy chassis for it.

This i basically what i will be doing which is the most sensible idea.

I wasn't aware world war 3 was going to start over it, i was just curious as to what peoples ideas were lol

I would flog the 90 and buy a 110
would make more sense, as there would be no issues etc with DLVA
