still think the man bump there will have problems with the ol h&s when it comes to drivin around a forest shootin folk. perhaps he could get out and have a pop at some of them meddlin rambles whats takin away all our lane access!

mind you I am livin in Austria at the moment so it don't really make a blind bit of difference really
 
drove to ballock (hope that is spelt right) a couple of years ago in my last defender. went all over ben lomand and around loch lomand. plenty of space for a drive but no clearly marked lanes! luckily i didn't get strung up to the yard arm by an angry mob for doing so and enjoyed a wee dram after
 
bit confusin really. you get these maps in the lr mags but i can never really make head nor tail of em. don't really know where you can go any more. pay n' play i suppose
 
still don't see how bump will be able to do those off road airsoft forrest drive by's though. sounds bonkers
 
Don't see any reason why he can't convert it to a rag top type thingy! If it's just for 'the games', then take off the sides and roof and stick some hoop type things and a skrim net on it! Ah mean, all ye nead is some kinda bracketry tae hold the net up, a few loop things rivetted to the tub to hold the net down and cut some holes in the nettin' to pop yer head out and shoot the 'enemy' (cheaper than cuttin' up the roof;) ) and if ye keep the sides and roof, then it's just a matter of re-bolting them back on when needs be;) :D
And as for mountin' the spare wheel to the bonnet, he could have a look here....

its for top cover to look out from, if any landys are used in games its only for moving guys around...NO shooting at or from moving vehicle. once in position you may use them for cover, and even when they are been moved around 10mph is the limit all people have FULL face protection and the driver is not a target at any point.....but if you would have ever been to a large event you maybe have known this, but then again maybe i should have made it clear.
 
bump. it sounds great. some of my friends are into that airsoft business. personally i haven't the time or money. but as far as i know, no vehicles are allowed so where do you go? they would be interested i am sure. incidentally. my mate found a great way of producing grenades that he called "bangers and mash". you take the bangers from farmers crow scarers and some big old spuds. drill a hole in the spud the same diameter as the banger. wrap the banger in foil and insert into the hole. when you lob it, it is supposed to go a long way and when it goes off; everyone in the area gets a liberal coating of mashed spud.
