where do you do most of your driving? i filled mine up and motored along the M5 to exeter and filled up again. i worked out a return of around 28-30mpg. and thats on monster tyres

if your only doing short journeys or around town, its gonna eat you out of house and home!

as mentioned, lay off the acc. pedal. you dont loose any power lifting off around 1-2cm. so why burn fuel?

get your timing looked at and make sure you replace filters regularly. i havent done anything to my timing yet as im too scared may have to take a trip up to see charlesY

Most of my driving is on country roads and main roads, a good balance between the two. I have been keeping my foot up today, and it's still drinking, the gauge has gone down significantly again today I really don't know what to do. I think I'm going to call the people who sold it to me, to ask about the timing etc.

check it for leaks , also pull out a plug and check its condition , it might be running rich.
