Has any body any experience with the GM 6.2 V8 diesel conversion in a 90
a friend has seen one for sale?.I said I would ask on here if any one knows if it,s a worth while conversion you folks would.

They are very heavy engines. Friend had one in a 110. Would tow anything, oddles of torque, but he eventually replaced it with a 200Tdi.

Would think that it would make a 90 very nose heavy.

Thank you folks I think I will advise against buying the 90
nah go and buy it put one in my 90 five years ago such a sweet motor wish i had kept it, was returning over 30 mpg and all power through the range no turbo ****e to worry about and was happy ticking over through the deep stuff or blasting down the tarmac,

I don't mean to sound funny or anything but 30 mpg on a 6.2 V8 is seriously taking the **** is it not?

The standard 2.5 TDI does not more than 30 mpg AFAIK.
