does anybody know if the 4.6 engine will fit into a disco 2 4.0 and run on the 4.0 ecu

Dont know about the ECU but the engine will fit. My mate and I both have American spec V8 D2s. They have the 4.5 RR engine fitted. The only problem we have, and I guess it wont ever apply to you is the Spanish traffic system will not accept that a Disco has a 4.6 engine. Makes registration impossible.

in rr 4litre and 4.6 use same ecu etc so shouldnt be much different in disco ,same engine
