Hi All. I have recently bought a Range rover L322 Autobiography 4x4 V8. PLease Help.
It has a prinz lpg conversion fitted with 80 litre tank . I was told it would cover about 300 miles per tank. When i fill up it takes 60 litres but im only getting 150-160 per tank . Is this about right or do you think there is a problem .
thank you

LPG tanks only ever fill to seventy something percent to allow for expansion.
My donut tank would only ever fill to a max of about 72Litres from empty (well so low it wouldn't run on LPG, which isn't actually empty).
Max MPG I ever got on LPG on my 4.6V8 Rangie was about 18MPG (indicated) and around 200miles on a tank of LPG.
Yours seems a bit "Thirsty", are you booting it around with a heavy right foot?

Welcome Ahem..

Your car seems a tad thirsty..

But its a range rover ;) so eh..

200-220mi is what i'd expect for a tank that size..

IMO

Oh and feel free to post a thread in the Introduction section of the forum

No. Well not all the time. Was doing 60 cruise cont on duel track to visit family and still only got 150 miles.

Will do when I sus how to Rubbish at this stuff. Cheers

I know others are saying it seems thirsty, but it looks about right.

We have an 80l (60l fillable) tank in our L322 and 150-160 miles is what we get, managed 180 on a long motorway run once.

Ours only really does pootles around town so we get about 13mpg on gas, remeber gas is about 12-15% less efficient then petrol, so 13 on gas is about 15 on petrol which works out about right.

Even on gas these things are thirsty......

Thanks for getting in touch. Looks like the bloke I got it off told me a bit of a porky.been a bit nieve I think .

Yes a bit of exaggeration I think.

LPG tanks can only be filled to a maximum of 80% of their actual volume, so a 90l tank is about 72 litres, an 80l tank is around 64 litres and a 60l tank is about 48 litres.....these sizes I know off the top of my head as our P38 is a 90l, our L322 is an 80l and the baby Bimmer is a 60l.....

In the P38 I can get 210 miles (14mpg mostly town driving in traffic)
In the L322 I can get 165 miles (13mpg if we're lucky in town traffic)
In the BMW I can get 255 miles (26mpg in town traffic)

Lesson for others to learn: do your research, properly, before buying. Although it's still not a bad mpg return for what it is.

Well I just bought a 4.4 v8 l322 with LPG and on my 1st 70 litres of gas iv got 173 miles before it ran out of gas. I have had a mix of dual carriage way and town, sport mode and booted it a bit. Will be doing a long run to Southampton and back in a couple of weeks all motorway and will be on cruise control, should be a good test.
