Been trying to swap the 2 flanges over today, got the mega tight bolt off at work, pulled the flange off the 3 bolt....

Then i pulled the 4 bolt flange off....

Not gonna be able to swap these around!!

Just gonna bite the bullet and get a 3 bolt prop with a doughnut....

u sure u aint got a 10 spline and a 24 spline diff there

He has top one is 24spline bottom one is 10spline.

I have, i was under the impression that the 2 flanges could be swapped?

You can get them but they are not the commonest of things, took me a week to find one and I know a fair few breakers

Just buy a new 4 bolt flange, they're only about £25.

So i can buy a 4 bolt flange that will fit to the 300tdi diff ?

Might be the angle, but that looks like the short flange that will need a pinion spacer too.

Yes 4 bolt flanges fit a 300tdi diff, it's the same diff as fitted to the V8 and the later V8s have a 4 bolt flange as standard.
