hi just bought my first 300tdi off road finding it very greedy on fuel and very sluggish, it has 2in lift kit,d44 off road bumpers,winch,33in off road tyres,diff guards, axle breathers,steering guard sump guard, fully poly bushed,rock sliders/dislocation cones,snorkel high level air intake,ali sport uprated intercooler is this the reason for being so slow? i am fitting full de/cat sports exhuast,new fuel pump,egr blanking kit and full service kit, please tell me this will make things better, motorway miles done 250,cost £90.

It's a LANDROVER that weights 2tonne how fast do you think they go??

Buy a RR for speed

With all that added weight, 250 miles at £90 is about right.

hi thanks for your replies

i wasnt expecting high performance but as its my first one i didnt know what to expect,didnt know if it is normal

it has been suggested that if i make these modifications ill get better mpg ,really thats all im after

Some one will have messed with your fuel pump as i have and thats y u will be getting that mpg.i get the same and my mates get a bit moore on same journey

i have ordered a new fuel pump so hopefully that will help along with the other bits im doing

If you do a search on here their is loads ov info on how to tune the pump and reset the pump assuming its a manual not an auto

Tweak the old pump.works wanders for performance and try a service might work aswell.

ive got a new one coming but how do you tweak it ,inoticed a lever is it with that
