Ok, so I just ordered my snorkel, hopefully fitting Saturday (anything I need to worry about it when fitting?)

Will check the axle breather pipes and extend them.

Does anyone know what thread and size nuts would suit the cam cover and gearbox? (is there only 2 you need to block, I work in a hardware store so will try find something to fit if I know the size.)

Roll down sheet for the grill, emergency thing.

Is there anything more I need to do/know?

Check your door seals. I'll be replacing mine before going anywhere near deep water, as they're pretty knackered at the bottom. Also, they seem to have gaps in them (deliberately, not sure why) so even when I have new ones fitted, I'm going to find something to insert in there to complete the seal with the door shut... Maybe a small length of thin-walled rubber hose that will fit inside the seal?

When water comes over the bonnet and above the windscreen wipers, water will enter the vehicle through the air vents and come out through the vents either side of the gearbox tunnel.

Wear wellies.

From memory I think you use gas pipe plugs (the ones with the square end) or radiator plugs - 1/2inch I think.

For future reference, I had to buy 1/4 inch bsp blanking plug (80p each from my plumbing centre.) got silicone now to seal my new snorkel and to pump some into the door seals. Axle breather extension is ready to fit then I'm all set. thanks for the help.
