Am thinking what will I need to have a fully working TD5 in my 90?
Has anyone done this? If so what is involved and what will I need to buy?
What's it likely to cost?

Just a thought not saying I will.
 
Have seen engines for £1000 and engine loom £300 ECU £200 will need to be programmed I know. But some one said something about the accelerator petal change?
Will I need anything else?
Will a 300 rad and allisport inter mate up?
 
retro fitting all the electrickery is gonna be alot of fun.....and then getting it to work.....and then trying to find out why it doesn't....
 
Dont do it mate, its a backwards plan from the start... and even if you get it working right, your not gaining much performance for the ammount of work that would go into it..
 
I was looking at the twisted performance td5 fender and it's got 240bhp :-0 and got me thinking, still a kid at heart.
 
i'd grab a td5 for my tdi in a second if i had the chance they are'nt that complicated if you got access to diagnostics

The loom looks like plug and play but may be wrong.
Would like to hear from someone who has done one or got a converted one.
 
i think if its the extra power your looking for and your prepared to fork and do the work, id go for the likes of a 3.2 mitsubishi diesel, 175-200 bhp standard depending on the year. makes sense to pick a beefier engine if your going to go to that ammount of trouble.

I'd buy a 110 with a 7L dodge engine over a 2.5L anyday of the week if I could afford it


Was looking at a 6.2L GMC powered 110 just couldn't afford it
 
I had the 3.9 V8 in it early this year but was too expensive to run. 10mpg.
So everyone rated the 300tdi power with a few mods but I don't think the engine can take it?
Want about 160-180 bhp
