Can anyone tell me if it's a straight swap from removing a 2.5tdi engine from my landy and fitting a V8, will it mate straight to the gearbox ??

No it is not easy. The bell housing is different. The gearbox is different. The engine mounts are different, but that at least is easy to fix.

you can fit a 3.5 to a tdi but you need a conversion kit. i think that they are less than £300 now but it consists of the bell housing adapter, and engine mounts that fit the engine to the chassis original engine mounts. no cutting or welding involved. speak to milner conversions. google them!
