well been having problems with the 300tdi for a while now basically when ive been driving the land rover and its got upto temperature then say turn it off to go to fuel up when i come bk to start it it doesnt

i get all the lights then try to turn it over ive changed every filter the lift pump etc it works after locking and opening it a few times or when its cooled.

my son says its the immobiliser stopping the land rover from been nicked acting as a safety device but a safety device doesnt entail having to push the land rover off a petrol stay forecourt.

please can someone help me before the wife scraps it!!

I had the same problem, i found a loose wire running down the steering column, try giving the wires a shoogle next time it happens, you'll see them if you open the fuse box flap.

Similar problem recently turned out to be a bad earth, engine to gearbox a thick one just was minging,solution get it off clean it all up and no dramas since RAC man had no idea though!!!!! Always happened after fuelling!
