Hi guys, my son's Disco, has had a water leak, decided 'P' gasket was the problem,
changed it twice this morning, both times new gasket and smear of Hylomar, still leaking, would it be possible that the face of the waterpump housing is warped, cant find nothing on threads, advise please, as son is on the verge of torching the frigging thing.

you shouldnt need to use sealant with a gasket, but have you let it totally set bfore using the car?
also was it perfectly clean when you put the gastket. i havn't heard of one warping before.

Yes it was all cleaned up. The first time we put it up without Hylomar it leaked so we stripped it down and put it back up with another new gasket and Hylomar, and it still leaked.

Get new bolts, they're as cheap as chips.

Have known them to leak down the bolts cos they corrode.

and make sure the go in with loads of coppaslip.

Sorry forgot to mention that we replaced all of the bolts aswell and the leak is still here!!!
